Hydroseeding

In the mid 90's Turf Concepts, LLC installed lawns using the conventional seeding method of drilling seed and applying straw mulch as a cover. As we all know, northwest Ohio is known for a lot of wind! Therefore the straw method was less than desirable. In1994 Turf Concepts tried another “new” idea in the Lima area...Hydroseeding! If you are not familiar with the term it is basically a unit that consists of a large tank with a paddle agitation system where we combine our seeding products, grass seed, mulch (wood/paper), fertilizer, bonding agents, water and bio stimulants to be mixed and sprayed hydraulically to the prepared seedbed. We have installed many successful lawns using this method and a lot of happy customers as a result!
